CAPSU Burias Holds Earthquake and Fire Drill Orientation

Capiz State University Burias Campus, in cooperation with the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council and the Bureau of Fire Protection Officers of the Municipality of Mambusao, conducted an earthquake and fire drill orientation on October 6, 2015 in front of the administration building.

The said event started at 8:30 in the morning with Dr. Loduvico C. Olmo Jr., administrator of the campus, giving his welcome remarks.  He emphasized the importance of the said activity for the safety and well-being of the community.

The Bureau of Fire Protection Officers of the Municipality of Mambusao discussed the different categories of fire and gave emphasis on how fire can destroy property in a matter of minutes.

Mr. Esperedeon Pelaez, the director of the PDRRMC of Capiz
Mr. Esperedeon Pelaez, director of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council of Capiz, further discussed the activities to be conducted in the upcoming month and even year in preparation for unwanted calamities and disasters.  He also mentioned that a team of evaluators will be coming over to assess how CapSU Burias responds to earthquake in an earthquake drill.
